April 21, 2012 is Record Store Day

I remember collecting 45s. They each had their on paper sleeve. Some had glossy sleeves that looked more like album covers but still felt like paper. I thought I was really cutting edge with my first 45, Nick Lowe's "Cruel to be Kind." In college a trip to any of the half dozen independent record stores in Amherst and Northampton was an adventure.
